The day started out like any other.. except there was something magical in the air. The clouds covering the sky afforded us with soft filtered light and the temperature was blessedly mild. Trenavin Chapel in Phillip Island is a quaint little chapel set against lush green lawns that drop steeply onto the beach in Ventnor. It is in this setting that the magic of the day unfolded.
Shortly after 2pm, the groom and his crew arrived; Sean in his velvet blazer, looking dapper with a mixture of excitement and nerves – after all, he’d been waiting for this moment since he met Sally two years ago. The guests started arriving shortly after, filling the chapel to the smooth vocals of Rory McKenna singing some of Sally + Sean’s favourite worship songs.
The atmosphere was ripe with anticipation as we all awaited the arrival of Sally… and soon enough, the bridal car pulled up. As Sally walked down the isle, it was clear the moment was filled with emotion; both Sally + Sean had tears in their eyes as they finally glimpsed each other for the first time that day. As Sally + Sean exchanged their vows, Sally surprised Sean with these special words…
It goes without saying that there was not a dry eye in that chapel! The rest of the ceremony went by in a blur and before we knew it, Pastor Dave Fuentes announced the newly weds, Mr & Mrs Packeer!
The rest of the day ensued with many more tears, laughter (lots and lots of laughter) and dancing.. all in celebration of these two amazing people who have fought to be together and won!
Sally + Sean, thank you for having me at your wedding, it was such a joy to witness and celebrate your wedding with you. Wishing you every happiness for the years to come – God bless! Xo
