The George Ballroom is one of Melbourne’s most popular wedding venues. Its grand ballroom, stunning ornate walls, and huge windows make it the perfect place to celebrate your big day. The venue opened in 1860 with its high ceilings and signature heritage walls. 

The ballroom can host ceremonies and reception celebrations with the capacity to accommodate up to 150 seated guests or 200 cocktail guests, making it perfect for large weddings.

2. Quat Quatta

3. Rippon Lea Estate

Rippon Lea Estate is a beautiful Victorian mansion on 16 hectares of gardens in Melbourne’s inner southeast. The Estate is available for wedding ceremonies and receptions and can accommodate up to 200 guests. There are several stunning indoor and outdoor spaces, including the grand ballroom, library and manicured gardens.

The grand Victorian mansion features beautiful period features such as a sweeping staircase, marble fireplaces and ornate ceilings. The venue oozes old-world glamour and elegance, making it perfect for couples looking for a classic and romantic setting to say ‘I Do’.

4. Abbotsford Convent

The Abbotsford Convent is a former Roman Catholic convent in the inner-city Melbourne suburb of Abbotsford. The Convent was founded in 1848 by the Sisters of St. Joseph and is now a multi-purpose art and cultural precinct, which includes exhibition spaces, a theatre, cafe, restaurants, gardens and more. The Convent is also home to the Melbourne branch of the Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, who still live and work on the site.

The Abbotsford Convent is a unique wedding venue in a former convent with a range of indoor and outdoor spaces for ceremonies and receptions that can cater to up to 280 guests seated or 500 guests for a cocktail-style celebration.
