Justin and Patricia’s story began on the final day of university orientation week back in February 2012. Their first meeting wasn’t exactly a spark—if anything, it was a little awkward. Patricia still laughs about how, just a few days later, she greeted Justin outside their first lecture and he had absolutely no idea what her name was. To be fair, he’d met a lot of people that week… but it’s a moment she still loves to remind him of.
Even so, a connection started to grow. What began as a casual friendship quickly became something more. They were each other’s go-to person for laughs, support, and late-night chats. By January 2013, a trip to the Gold Coast quietly shifted everything. Somewhere between sunny afternoons and shared conversations, their bond deepened. A few months later, they officially became a couple.
In the years that followed, they built a life filled with travel, adventure and a whole lot of love. From Hong Kong to Japan, the US to Thailand, they explored the world together, always returning with stories and memories that brought them closer. It was clear early on that they had found not just a partner, but a best friend to share life with.
In 2015, they welcomed Ruby, their spirited little dachshund, followed by Charlie in 2016. From the moment they arrived, these two became the heart of their home. A few months later, Justin and Patricia moved in together, settling just a couple of streets away from the home they would one day call their own in 2021.
Then came one of the most special moments in their journey so far. In November 2023, while Justin took Patricia out to dinner, their closest friends transformed their home with flowers, candles, and thoughtful little touches. When they returned, Ruby greeted them with a small ring tied around her neck, while Charlie wagged his tail beside her. As Patricia took it all in, Justin dropped to one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him.
For Justin and Patricia, marriage is the next step in a story that already feels rich with meaning. It’s about continuing to grow, choosing each other over and over, and building a life that feels deeply personal and filled with joy. And as they look toward the future, one thing is certain—the best is yet to come.
