Welcome, stylish brides and couples! As an editorial wedding photography expert, I’m thrilled to share with you the opulent details of our recent editorial shoot at Melbourne’s finest luxury venue, The Trust Melbourne. Now, get ready to be transported to a world where glitzy Manhattan vibes seamlessly blend with the architectural splendour of Melbourne’s modernity. Get ready to go on a journey filled with elegant inspiration, where every element radiates grace, style, and the relentless pursuit of perfection.
At the heart of this editorial lies a carefully curated ensemble of Melbourne’s most luxurious wedding vendors and brands. From visionary stylists to talented florists, masterful hair and makeup artists, and exquisite bridal ateliers, we united the best to create an experience unlike any other. We wanted to embody the essence of The Trust Melbourne’s Beaux-Arts style, where old-world glamour meets contemporary charm, and create a visual feast that transcends time.
Drawing inspiration from the glimmering streets of Manhattan, we sought to infuse this editorial with an abundance of cosmopolitan allure. We meticulously chose the colour palette, featuring cool tones, burgundy, plum, and chocolate, interweaving delicate ivory and gleaming gold accents. The result? A harmonious symphony of shades that harmonised with the venue’s grandeur and captivated the eye.
Picture an intimate gathering, a celebration of love in the heart of Melbourne. The editorial showcased a breathtaking six-person setting. Luxury wedding stylists, The Small Things Co, styled the table with a mix of decor from their extensive collection. The ivory-accented flatware and the refined glassware was provided by hire company Event Merchant Co. Each element was carefully chosen to elevate the ambience, creating an atmosphere that exuded timeless elegance and sophistication.
The attention to detail in this high fashion editorial extended to every aspect, even the stationery and signage. Geometric designs by Petite Lemposa, the sister company to The Small Things Co, added a modern touch and seamlessly complemented the overall aesthetic. From exquisite menus to stylish welcome signage, every piece showcased the fusion of luxury and contemporary design, ensuring a cohesive and visually captivating experience.
What’s a luxury editorial without the pièce de résistance: the gowns? We collaborated with the esteemed Mia Ateliers to showcase her latest couture dresses. One look featured an ethereal a-line feather and tulle dress. The second dress we selected boasted a sleek silk sheath dress draped to perfection. Completing the ensemble were exquisite tulle gloves, adding an extra touch of high fashion and boldness.
To amplify the allure of our Manhattan-inspired theme, we adorned our model with a vintage-style birdcage veil by All About Romance. Fluttery floral details gracefully framed her face, lending an air of mystery and romance. This whimsical accessory perfectly harmonised with the overall aesthetic, capturing the essence of contemporary fashion while evoking timeless charm and elegance.
The floral designs in this high fashion editorial were nothing short of extraordinary. Thanks to the masterful touch of Melissa from The Petalier, a renowned luxury Melbourne florist. With a specialization in artful, European-inspired floral arrangements, Melissa brought her expertise to create breathtaking displays. The editorial was adorned with a rich selection of roses, amaranthus, and tulips. With colours showcasing a stunning palette of bold hues ranging from deep reds and burgundies to mesmerizing shades of deep magenta. Each bloom was meticulously chosen, adding an element of refinement to the overall aesthetic, while seamlessly complementing the luxurious ambience of the venue. Melissa’s artistic vision truly elevated the editorial, making it a visual feast for the senses.
No wedding is complete without a delectable cake. And for this editorial, we turned to the talented Mirjana from Torte by Mirjana. Mirjana created a pastel lavender-coloured masterpiece, seamlessly intertwining its delicate hue with the cool tones of our editorial. Exquisite fine floral details and graceful draping adorned this culinary marvel, making it a feast for the eyes.
“I have always harboured an obsession for old world elegance and refined details. When the opportunity arose to shoot this editorial at The Trust Melbourne, I knew it was a chance to bring my creative vision to life. The venue’s grandeur and timeless allure captivated me from the moment I stepped inside. Every carefully curated detail, from the geometric stationery by Petite Lemposa to the breathtaking floral designs by Melissa from The Petalier, came together like a dream.
The couture gowns from Mia Ateliers, with their exquisite craftsmanship, added a touch of sophistication to the entire narrative. Collaborating with some of Melbourne’s best vendors and designers was an honour, and their talents elevated the entire experience. As the photographer behind Tales of Romance Atelier, I aimed to capture every moment with precision and artistry. The resulting images, a harmonious blend of high fashion and editorial storytelling, are nothing short of perfection. It was truly a labour of love, and I’m excited to share these glimpses of opulence with you, my fellow brides and couples, who appreciate the finer things in life and seek a wedding that is elegant, aesthetic, and unforgettable.”
